The skate park complex, which is part of the revitalization work on stretch 3 of Orla do Guaíba, begins to take shape and change the lakeside landscape. The set of tracks, with works 20% already completed by the city hall, will have symbolic elements of the urban scenario of the Capital, another attraction of the place, which should become a tourist spot focused on sports and host major events related to skateboarding. The execution is in charge of a team formed by 12 members linked to the sport.
The novelty of urban elements in the city was included in one of the track formats that caters to the street modality, in the street plaza. This category includes street practitioners. “From this idea, the executing company observed what attracts practitioners from the Capital and brought to the project three symbolic pieces of equipment: the handrail of the City Hall, the undulating bridge of Praça Itália and the benches of the Ipanema sidewalk, in the South Zone of the city of São Paulo. city, with a reinterpretation of these spaces”, says the municipal secretary of Infrastructure and Urban Mobility, Marcelo Gazen. Equipment such as fire hydrants and raised manhole covers will also be used, as well as elements such as anchors, wharfs and iron chains, alluding to the city's port activity.
