The Paço Municipal, or Paço dos Açorianos, located in Praça Montevideo, in the Historic Center, is a historic space that today is used by the offices of the Mayor, Vice-Mayor, First Lady, Media, Municipal Secretariat for Local Governance and Political Coordination. and administrative areas. The building, completed in April 1901, will be transformed into the Porto Alegre Museum of Art. The mayor's office and the Main Hall will be preserved for use by the Executive. In Paço, the Pinacoteca Aldo Locatelli is still in operation.
