Stage for several national and international shows, space for political demonstrations, assemblies and lectures by renowned personalities, the Araújo Vianna Auditorium is part of the history of Porto Alegre. Opened in 1927 and remodeled in the 1960s, the project was designed by architects Moacyr Moojen Marques and Carlos Maximiliano Fayet. In 1997, it was listed as a Historic and Cultural Heritage of the Municipality and its preservation is now guaranteed.
